A wreath of holly and berries

Hello!  Today is new release day for Cleary Digi Stamps  Of course, there is a lot more fun new images to play with other than just the images I used, you can check out all the releases and the rest of the Design Team inspiration at Lori's blog.

I made 3 cards with the NEW Holly Wreath Digi image set.

My first card, I used the 2 small "bunches" of holly that are included in the digital set, rotated the one around, and then put the PNG sentiment inbetween them.  I wanted to keep a traditional color theme with a light blue shadowing effect.
IMAGES/STAMPS: Holly Wreath Digi by CDS
CS/PAPER: 90 lb. watercolor paper, Basic grey sweet threads patterned paper, CDS pucker up textured cardstock, white, green, light blue
INK/MARKERS: printer, Tombow markers 177, 173, 925, 845, 452
ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, spellbinders labels 20 and ovals, MS snowflake and branch punches, stickles, pearl, CDS pucker up ribbon, foam dimensionals, sewing machine

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second card, I used the full wreath and put a sentiment inside it.  Once again, traditional colors this time with a yellow shadow.  The image was so large that I decided to just keep the card pretty simple.  It's a 4.25" square card.
CS/PAPER: 90 lb. watercolor paper, CDS pucker up, PTI new leaf
INK/MARKERS: printer, Tombow markers 177, 173, 925, 845, 985
ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, pearls, sewing machine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, I used the PNG images of the smaller bunches of holly, and rotated them and placed closely together to make a "new" bunch of holly and added a PNG sentiment.  I wanted to try a non-traditional color theme with "white-ish" leaves and magenta/plum colored berries, and got to use some older Basic grey patterned paper pack called "Eva".

New digital images to play with

There's a BUNCH of new digital images released today at CDS!  Check out Lori's blog for all the previews and links to the sets.

I was able to color one image and make a set of 3 cards using pre-color images.
My sewing machine had something stuck in it for a few weeks, but finally got it fixed and can sew again!   I'm so happy!

These Antique ornaments used to be a clear stamp set, but now they are digital and with color versions and matching digi papers!  I colored the bird image this time, but I have the images printed and might make some quick cards later this month.  I just LOVE to color when I have the time.  I used some shimmer watercolors overtop the blue and cream areas and it looks so vintagey!  This card is the first project to get the marina mist ribbon... I had to open the roll to use it.  LOOOOOVE the smell of BRAND NEW ribbon.  I think I bought it over a year ago and it had been sitting on the ribbon shelf ALL this time, being completely ignored.  Bad me!

The Holiday nutcrackers was also previously a clear stamp set, but now is available in digital format, with the color versions and matching digi papers!  I just love how festive they look and with bright cheery colors.  I got play with punches!  I knew this set would be so much fun to go through my punch shelf and pick different borders for the nutcracker men.  So many wonderful designs on the papers... this set would almost be worth it to buy JUST for the pretty holiday papers!

Some other cards

I do make cards for other things and usually post them on another blog, and sort of forget about it over here.  I made these 2 cards and posted one last week and the other one today.

This first one uses the Old Pistol image and the digital papers in a set called Shoot 'em Saloon paper pack.   Just a fun western style guy card.  I hand threaded the twine thread through holes and tied them in knots on the top, to look like little ropes.
I included a little How-To for the coloring of the wooden floor under the pistol HERE, if you're interested.

SUPPLIES:
Image and sentiment: Old Pistol, Doodle Pantry
CS/paper: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, Shoot 'em Saloon Mini Digi Paper Pack, PTI smokey cardstock, kraft cardstock
Ink: Printer, Tombow markers 947, 899, 942, N65
Accents/Tools: waterbrush, ticket corner punch, SU label punch, black stitch grosgrain ribbon, linen thread, piercer tool, aged copper brads, foam dimensionals, sewing machine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next card is using the Poppies product that is featured for the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 28.  Just for participating in that challenge per the guidelines, you receive this set for free (within a few days of linking up).
I made this for my mom's birthday, she's in central California.
I had fun with the little die cut flowers!
SUPPLIES:
Image: Poppies by Doodle Pantry, inside stamped Happy Birthday sentiment by CDS
CS/paper: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, BG Hello luscious paper, PTI orange, PTI summer, PTI smokey, SU wasabi
I actually made some cards for the new releases
Hello!  I bet you're surprised to find this post from me.  I have been MIA for-EVAH.
Now that school is started again, I actually have had some time that I managed to squeeze together to get some cards made for the new Digi release at CDStamps!
I did, however, use all pre-digitally colored images, and I did NOT watercolor these.  I *do* love watercoloring, but find that I just don't have enough time, so I end up using the color versions a bit more often than I used to.
Today, I've showcased the Howdy Partner Color Digi set, and the Charlie Harvest Color Digi set, and the Covered Bridges Color Digi set.
Don't forget to check out Lori's blog HERE to see all the new releases and be able to visit the other designers blogs for inspiration too!
First is the Covered Bridges Digi set.  There are 2 bridge styles and each style is colored in a different season. The large bridge has a summer and fall season, and the skinny bridge has a spring, winter, and another winter one with a wreath hanging on it.
I may be able to make a summer bridge card a little later, but for now, I have the winter version made up.
THIS IS AN OLD POST-There's new digi's today!
THIS IS AN OLD POST-I haven't posted since March.
Well, I must admit that I failed to get any cards done for this digi release for Clear Dollar Stamps.   My excuse:  Everyone in the house got pinkeye, starting with my daughter on Feb 22, then my son Feb 29, then me on March 8 and then my husband the next day.  I just didn't want to go up to my craft room and touch things up there and then risk that I left pinkeye up there for someone (namely me!) to just get it again later.  That is a pitiful reason for not getting up there, I know, but that is it.  I never thought I would get it, because I am one of those clean-o freak-o's and wash everything... twice just to be sure sometimes.  I read somewhere that the entire household needs to be pinkeye free for 2 full weeks after the last person's redness went away, in order to be sure that it is gone, so I have wanted to steer clear of my craft area until then.  I know, I know, I'm a total weird-o clean freak that thinks a germ is waiting for me around every corner, LOL.
BUT The whole team came up with some wonderfully creative ideas using all the new digi images, I sure hope you can go around to their blogs to check them all out, and of course checkout the CDS shop too, as it has some photo collages of some of those projects.
Stamps of the quarter
On the last day of the CDS stamp product parade, we show the stamps of the quarter.  These are the sets that you can earn free with a qualifying purchase order amount.  There are 3 sets to choose from, and the Winter Bear is one of them, which is what I am previewing for you.
On my oval cutout, I used a 3/4" circle punch and punched out a little from each side so that the decorative swirls of the diecut below it would show.  I think it made a nice look.
 That is all from the newest stamps released at CDS!  Hope you enjoy and can get out there to create!  Wishing you a wonderful new year and happy week!
BIG flowers make beautiful cards!!
It's day 2 of the CDS product parade and we are showing the new clear stamps!!!
I did 2 cards today, one with each of the big flowers, Dahlia and Josephine Clematis.
These stamps were made to be BIG flowers that are easy to color and fill up a card front, and each include a few sentiments.  I love these flowers!!
I knew on the dahlia that I wanted to do a 3 tone petal coloring... I put yellow on the petal creases, orange in the petal centers and the bright pink on the peal tips.  The picture seemed to wash out the colors, but in person, the coloring is much more vibrant.
I recently have started to LOVE the lavender color, in fact, I think it is just about my favorite color now.  It just is so pretty with minty greens, and neutral creams/browns, both of which are also some of my fav colors.  This card is pretty simple, but I like it.
Thanks for visiting today, I hope you'll come back the next couple days, as I have a couple more new product inspirations to show!   Have a happy day!
CDS Product Parade January Stamps are here
Hello!   Wow, it has been a long time since I got to play with my stamps!  It was so much fun to get to sit and create last week.
I am excited to share with you the first project I made with the Toucans of Love stamps. Cute little girl and boy toucans... you can stamp them together or individually.
There are several single sentiment stamps available that can be used with them, but sold separately too.
I stamped the toucan on watercolor paper and watercolored using the Tombow markers and a waterbrush.
I sewed the toucan panel and added the punched border to the base and sewed around that too.
I will have something to show you with the newest clear stamps for the next 3 days, so I hope you'll come back to see!   Hope you have a crafty weekend!
