Frogs and hedgehogs!

THIS IS AN OLD POST AND LINKS WON'T WORK ANY MORE.  THE CDS IMAGES WERE TRANSFERRED COPYRIGHT TO DOODLE PATNRY ON OCTOBER 1, 2013.

There's a lot of new digi's released today, and you can check them all out at Lori's blog.

This month at Clearly Digi Stamps, I digi'd 2 older images that were previously clear stamps, Hoppy Frogs and Berry Hedgehog, and then created a new image, Apple Hedgehog.  They are all so bright and cheerful and fun, perfect for any card giving occasion!
I made a couple items with each image this time for your viewing and inspiration pleasure, or at least I hope there's something pleasing about them that inspires you!

HOPPY FROGS
These are my most favorite frogs I have ever drawn.  There is just something about each expression that is timeless. I really like these guys, they look so floppsy and bendable, like good little froggies should.  I made these 2 cards using the pre color images and papers.I made the hopping frog going from one lilypad to another.  His cheesy-toothy grin makes me giggle.

Supplies:
images: Hoppy Frogs
cardstock/papers: white, pti blue and green
ink: printer
accents/tools: spellbinders labels 13, LR0150 die, paper flowers, pearls, sewing machine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 With his hands up in the air, looks like he is celebrating something fabulous!
Supplies:
images: Hoppy Frogs
cardstock/papers: white, pti blue and green, digi patterned papers from image set
ink: printer
accents/tools: spellbinders circles and pinking circle, SU oval punch, pti buttons and ribbon, sewing machine, twine, foam dimensionals
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BERRY HEDGEHOG
This little happy guy was a clear stamp too from a couple years ago.  I made him digi and added the color and papers.... now I love him even more!  Of course, I had to include 2 colors of berries for lots of options. I made 2 fun cards using the pre colored images, but I'll have to make some more of these!
 Supplies:
Image: Berry Hedgehog
Cardstock/Papers: digi paper from image set, PTI cardstock, Neenah white
Ink: Printer
Accents/Tools: spellbinders labels 10, circle punches, MS border punch, MS hydrangea punch, PTI ribbon, pearl, sewing machine, foam dimensionals

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Supplies:
Image: Berry Hedgehog
Cardstock/Papers: digi paper from image set, PTI cardstock, Neenah white
Ink: Printer
Accents/Tools: Su oval punches, circle die for tracing to make shape, Spellbinders scallop circles, corner rounder punch, SU fern punch, PTI ribbon, BG button, twine, sewing machine, foam dimensionals
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
APPLE HEDGEHOG
I basically took the berry hedgehod, reversed him and added a slurping tongue, and changed the berries to a big juicy apple, in golden delicious and gala versions.  I made some cards for new school teachers this year and a bookmark using the separate apples.
Supplies:
Digital images: Apple Hedgehog
Cardstock/Papers: digi papers included in digi set, PTI dark chocolate, PTI simply chartruese, neenah white
Ink: printer
Tools/Accents: Spellbinders labels 13, pearls, PTI button & ribbon, sewing machine, twine, foam dimensionals

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 I goofed on the sewing on the bookmark near the top left. UGH!  That kind of tiny detail bugs me.
Supplies:
Digital images: Apple Hedgehog
Cardstock/Papers: digi papers included in digi set, PTI dark chocolate, PTI simply chartruese, neenah white
Ink: printer
Tools/Accents: Spellbinders labels 13 and circles, SU tiny banners, dies LR0151 & LR0116, Su mini flower punch, pearls, sewing machine, foam dimensionals, bakers twine
It's Digi Day at CDS!
Hello!  Hope you can view all of today's CDS releases over at Lori's blog HERE.
I used the goggles in the Swimming set.  I thought of this sentiment to go with it and typed it up in my Word processor document.
 I had this fun squares paper and thought it looked like swimming pool tile if I cut just 2 rows of the squares off.  The older EK border punch gave the look like water against the "tile" too.
I used the clear accents stuff to make water droplets on the goggles.  FUN!
Digi used: Swimming by Austie Bost (CDS)
Sentiment: typed on computer
CS/PAPER: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, PTI new leaf, PTI white, The Paper Studio patterned papers
INK: printer, Tombow markers 528, 515, 126
ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, EK border punch, SPellbinders tag die, Spellbinders ovals, 3/4" circle punch, sewing machine, crystal brad, green gingham ribbon, linen thread, clear dimensional lacquer, foam dimensionals
MEDIUM: watercolor with markers, waterbrush, on watercolor paper
May you be blessed today!
A new day
Tax day is OVER in the U.S.....  blaaahhhh, unless you're getting a refund.  I'm so glad we got our taxes done last month, makes today a little easier.
Today there are several new digital sets at CDS, but I didn't get to make anything.
I did make something for the CDS Blog Hop next sunday, though, so check back then and join in the blog hop, as one commenter on my post next sunday will be randomly chosen to win the digital image set I used on my card.
Here's a little peek at some of the previews of the digi sets available today at CDS!  These previews below are the items I contributed to the release.  But wait til you see Lisa Lara's and DeeDee's and Austin's adorable sets! So many cute images!
You can always see everything over at Lori's blog, HERE.
New Digi's today!
There is a digi release at Clear Dollar Stamps, and you can see ALL the releases at Lori's blog.
Here's what I made today, there are 2 card sets.
This first set is actually 8 cards total and uses the Josephine Clematis pre-color images and digi papers that is released today.   I am going to save this card set and use it as a end of school year thank you set for my daughters teacher.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next I made 3 different cards with the Jesus Paid it all digi pre-color digi's from today's release.
Just to have some Easter cards handy.  Actually, I think I'll stick these in the card ministry box at church. There's always ladies who need cards, can't buy them, and don't know how to make their own.  That is what our card ministry box is for.
 And that's all I had made this time around.  I hope you can check out the rest of the CDS design team creations for lots of inspiration!
Here's my details:

A wreath of holly and berries

Hello!  Today is new release day for Cleary Digi Stamps  Of course, there is a lot more fun new images to play with other than just the images I used, you can check out all the releases and the rest of the Design Team inspiration at Lori's blog.

I made 3 cards with the NEW Holly Wreath Digi image set.

My first card, I used the 2 small "bunches" of holly that are included in the digital set, rotated the one around, and then put the PNG sentiment inbetween them.  I wanted to keep a traditional color theme with a light blue shadowing effect.
IMAGES/STAMPS: Holly Wreath Digi by CDS
CS/PAPER: 90 lb. watercolor paper, Basic grey sweet threads patterned paper, CDS pucker up textured cardstock, white, green, light blue
INK/MARKERS: printer, Tombow markers 177, 173, 925, 845, 452
ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, spellbinders labels 20 and ovals, MS snowflake and branch punches, stickles, pearl, CDS pucker up ribbon, foam dimensionals, sewing machine

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second card, I used the full wreath and put a sentiment inside it.  Once again, traditional colors this time with a yellow shadow.  The image was so large that I decided to just keep the card pretty simple.  It's a 4.25" square card.
IMAGES/STAMPS: Holly Wreath Digi by CDS
CS/PAPER: 90 lb. watercolor paper, CDS pucker up, PTI new leaf
INK/MARKERS: printer, Tombow markers 177, 173, 925, 845, 985
ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, pearls, sewing machine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, I used the PNG images of the smaller bunches of holly, and rotated them and placed closely together to make a "new" bunch of holly and added a PNG sentiment.  I wanted to try a non-traditional color theme with "white-ish" leaves and magenta/plum colored berries, and got to use some older Basic grey patterned paper pack called "Eva".
 close up...

CS/PAPER: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, kiwi, razzleberry, white, Basic grey Eva patterned paper

ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, spellbinders circles and pinking circles, pearls, SU and michaels ribbons, button, twine thread, sewing machine, foam dimensionals

New digital images to play with

There's a BUNCH of new digital images released today at CDS!  Check out Lori's blog for all the previews and links to the sets.

I was able to color one image and make a set of 3 cards using pre-color images.
My sewing machine had something stuck in it for a few weeks, but finally got it fixed and can sew again!   I'm so happy!

These Antique ornaments used to be a clear stamp set, but now they are digital and with color versions and matching digi papers!  I colored the bird image this time, but I have the images printed and might make some quick cards later this month.  I just LOVE to color when I have the time.  I used some shimmer watercolors overtop the blue and cream areas and it looks so vintagey!  This card is the first project to get the marina mist ribbon... I had to open the roll to use it.  LOOOOOVE the smell of BRAND NEW ribbon.  I think I bought it over a year ago and it had been sitting on the ribbon shelf ALL this time, being completely ignored.  Bad me!

CS/PAPER: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, CTMH patterned paper, marina mist cardstock, CDS ripe olive cardstock

ACCENTS/TOOLS: spellbinders labels 9 die, waterbrush, shimmer paint, stickles, pearls, button, Marina mist SU ribbon, CDS ripe olive ribbon, linen thread, sewing machine, foam dimensionals

The Holiday nutcrackers was also previously a clear stamp set, but now is available in digital format, with the color versions and matching digi papers!  I just love how festive they look and with bright cheery colors.  I got play with punches!  I knew this set would be so much fun to go through my punch shelf and pick different borders for the nutcracker men.  So many wonderful designs on the papers... this set would almost be worth it to buy JUST for the pretty holiday papers!

I actually made some cards for the new releases

Hello!  I bet you're surprised to find this post from me.  I have been MIA for-EVAH.
Now that school is started again, I actually have had some time that I managed to squeeze together to get some cards made for the new Digi release at CDStamps!
I did, however, use all pre-digitally colored images, and I did NOT watercolor these.  I *do* love watercoloring, but find that I just don't have enough time, so I end up using the color versions a bit more often than I used to.

Today, I've showcased the Howdy Partner Color Digi set, and the Charlie Harvest Color Digi set, and the Covered Bridges Color Digi set.

Don't forget to check out Lori's blog HERE to see all the new releases and be able to visit the other designers blogs for inspiration too!

First is the Covered Bridges Digi set.  There are 2 bridge styles and each style is colored in a different season. The large bridge has a summer and fall season, and the skinny bridge has a spring, winter, and another winter one with a wreath hanging on it.
I may be able to make a summer bridge card a little later, but for now, I have the winter version made up.

THIS IS AN OLD POST-There's new digi's today!

THIS IS AN OLD POST-I haven't posted since March.

Well, I must admit that I failed to get any cards done for this digi release for Clear Dollar Stamps.   My excuse:  Everyone in the house got pinkeye, starting with my daughter on Feb 22, then my son Feb 29, then me on March 8 and then my husband the next day.  I just didn't want to go up to my craft room and touch things up there and then risk that I left pinkeye up there for someone (namely me!) to just get it again later.  That is a pitiful reason for not getting up there, I know, but that is it.  I never thought I would get it, because I am one of those clean-o freak-o's and wash everything... twice just to be sure sometimes.  I read somewhere that the entire household needs to be pinkeye free for 2 full weeks after the last person's redness went away, in order to be sure that it is gone, so I have wanted to steer clear of my craft area until then.  I know, I know, I'm a total weird-o clean freak that thinks a germ is waiting for me around every corner, LOL.

BUT The whole team came up with some wonderfully creative ideas using all the new digi images, I sure hope you can go around to their blogs to check them all out, and of course checkout the CDS shop too, as it has some photo collages of some of those projects.

New Digital Images at CDS

Hello!  Today is the digital release day at CDS and there are some totally cute images available!!!  I only am showing you samples with 2 sets, but be sure to check out Lori's blog HERE for all the images and digi paper sets being released today!

Here I used the Tea-rrific Digi image set, just the outlines.  There is a matching digi paper pack sold separately, as well as color tea images.  I wanted to color my tea set black with purple and yellow roses.  My grandmother had a beautiful black china set that I always stood and admired behind the glass cabinet.  It had the purple and yellow roses too, so that is where I was inspired for this card.
The black was really hard to color.  It didn't turn out exactly how I was envisioning, but I think it still looks black.
I used the white filled PNG images to overlap them into a little scene, in my Word document, and then I printed it pretty large....  the image rectangle is a 3" x 6" size, and the finished card is 3.25" x 6.25".

SUPPLIES:
